You push off from Rivière-Sens Marina just after sunrise, gulls crying overhead and the Inko’s monohull slicing a glassy Rib near Basse-Terre. The sea opens up, wind powering the sails while the skipper outlines basics and offers the helm: the day stretches between bright turquoise bays and the low, weathered hills of Les Saintes.
