Adventure tips

Book morning or late-afternoon slotsTemperatures and traffic are more manageable outside midday; mornings offer fresher markets and softer light for photos.

Carry small-denomination cashMany stalls accept cash only and vendors prefer small notes for quick transactions.

Use the provided helmet and ponchoHelmets are included, and a lightweight poncho helps when sudden rains pop up in the wet season.

Wear closed-toe shoesMarkets have uneven ground and lots of scooter traffic—closed shoes protect your feet during short walks and crossings.

Recommended gear

Closed-toe walking shoes: Protects feet from crowded markets and uneven alley surfaces.
Light rain jacket or poncho: Quick protection during sudden tropical downpours; guides often carry a poncho but having your own speeds transitions.
Small daypack or sling: Keeps valuables close and allows hands-free movement while mounting and dismounting.
Cash in small denominations (VND): Useful for market purchases, street food, and tipping where cards aren’t accepted.
