Sabrage Sunset Concert: Live Music & Dolphin Views on St. Augustine's Intracoastal

Step aboard Sabrage for the Bad Dog Moma Concert, a two-hour live-music cruise that turns St. Augustine’s Intracoastal Waterway into a floating performance hall. Launching from The Shipyard in St. Augustine, Florida, this outing stitches easy coastal sightseeing with an energetic set by Chelsea Saddler and Lauren Gilliam, the harmony-driven female duo whose blend of blues, Americana, folk and classic rock fits the salt-and-wind atmosphere of the coast. The boat glides past downtown storefronts and the stone face of the Fort, rounds to the Lighthouse, and follows the edge of the barrier islands where dolphins often break the surface. What sets this experience apart is the combination of high-quality live performance with an open-deck vantage that brings maritime life into the show. Look for low salt-marsh ridges, narrow mangrove fingers, and shoals that collect shorebirds; these natural details frame every chorus. The trip’s sights are straightforward and cinematic: a skyline of Spanish-tiled roofs and church steeples, the clean vertical of the Lighthouse, and the coastal fringe of dunes and maritime hammocks beyond the intracoastal. Most voyages include dolphin sightings, and the rhythm of moving water gives acoustic numbers an immediacy you don’t get in a club. Practical notes make this easy for visitors: the cruise lasts two hours, is family-friendly, and accommodates groups up to seventy. Plan to arrive early at The Shipyard to secure outdoor seating and to catch the best light for photos. Bring sun protection and a light jacket—the river breeze sharpens as the sun lowers. The Sabrage team provides service and amenities that keep the focus on the music and the view. This concert is an appealing way to experience St. Augustine for visitors who want local culture without the formalities of a theater. It’s a standout option in a landscape better known for historic streets; floating past the Fort and Lighthouse recasts familiar monuments as shoreline moments. Chelsea Saddler and Lauren Gilliam’s mix of vintage doo-wop harmonies and contemporary Americana ties the music to place, and the shared audience on deck creates a communal, easygoing vibe. Whether you’re two-stepping with sunset light on the water or watching dolphins cut foil lines against the wake, the Bad Dog Moma Concert aboard Sabrage offers a compact, memorable slice of St. Augustine life—equal parts music, marine scenery, and local flavor.
