A low winter sun throws long shadows across open fell and birch as you arrive at a family-run reindeer farm outside Rovaniemi. The air is sharp, reindeer breath steaming in front of you; the sled runners whisper across packed snow while the lead animal tugs with patient strength. This is not a zoo visit but a working farm that traces local Sámi and settler traditions across two centuries.
