Swim and snorkel in Kleftiko, Gerakas and other remote beaches and visit the famous beach of Blue waters in Poliegos!
The cruise starts at 9:00 from the port of Adamas. We start our circumnavigation of the island heading northwest towards Cape Vani, an impressive 30-meter tall rock behind which the old 19th-century iron mine operated. Shortly after we will reach our first swim stop, the bay of Kalgories, a beautiful bay with crystal-clear turquoise waters. We will stay here for about 30 minutes to swim and snorkel and enjoy a snack coming up from your swim.
We continue sailing along the west side of the island till we reach Sykia, the biggest cave in Milos. A short photo stop in front of the caves’ spectacular entrance and the bay to the south of the cave, an old volcanic crater, with colorful rocks and crystal clear emerald waters.
Next destination, Kleftiko, the most famous place in Milos. The name actually means a place of thieves and derives from the fact that it was used for centuries by pirates as a hideout and lair. Our stop here will last 40 minutes and you will have the chance to swim and snorkel in caves and try our stand-up paddle. Refreshments and ice-cold beers will be waiting for you when you get back to the boat accompanied by many delicious snacks.
Leaving Kleftiko, we continue sailing along south Milos coastline, passing by the bay of Gerontas, and the famous beaches of Fyriplaka and Tsigrado, till we reach our next swim stop, the impressive bay of Gerakas, one of the best beaches in Milos, accessible only by boat. We will stop for more than 1 hour for swimming and lunch.
The trip continues along the south side of the island till we reach the east and Theiorychia, where the abandoned 1870s sulfur mines still stand creating a magnificent landscape. We take some photos and continue towards the island of Poliegos, the largest uninhabited Greek island and home to some of the most impressive waters in the Mediterranean.
Our main stop on this amazing island is the bay of Galazia nera, or blue waters, one of the best spots in Greece! Here we will enjoy our last swim for the day and some delicious desserts.
Heading back towards Adamas we will pass Glaronisia, the seagull islands, a rare geological phenomenon consisting, completely, of hexagonal-shaped lava rocks. A short photo stop here to admire the landscape and feed the seagulls.
The final part of our trip consists of sightseeing in the bay of Adamas. We will see ‘Arkoudes’, the impressive 20ft bear-shaped rocks at the entrance of the bay to the east and Klima where the statue of Venus de Milo was discovered. While you take beautiful photos you can also learn some historical facts about the island, as a part of our guided tour.
Our cruise ends with the sun in the back and beautiful sunset colors. We return to Adamas port around 18:30.
