About This Adventure

Duration: 2 hours

We’ll take you on a full walking tour of the main attractions in the Ancient Roman Forum and Colosseum’s immediate vicinity. Following your introduction to your guide, you will be given a brief overview of the area. Then take a leisurely stroll along the world-famous Via Fori Imperiali, stopping to admire Trajan’s Market and the Roman Forum. We next proceed to the Colosseum, where we will spend almost an hour learning about one of the world’s most imposing and stunning ancient sites. Next, our knowledgeable and experienced guide will take you on a tour of the massive structure’s construction and history, which will be both interesting and fascinating. As you progress around the building, the terrible and occasionally gruesome past of the world’s oldest ‘Super Stadium’ will be vividly brought back to life. The story will slowly emerge, bringing to life the events through the perspective of both the humble slave and the greatest emperor, from the deepest tunnels used by Gladiators to approach the combat ring to the depths of the Colosseum.

2. Around Colosseum

The night tour begins when you enter the arena floor. From here, you can see this huge white structure. Follow the same path as gladiators, you will learn so many fascinating stories about them. This retractable floor opens at the basement area and provides the opportunity to visit the basement room while standing in the center of the arena. Discover the secret tunnels once used by gladiators, slaves, and wildlife to reach the arena floor. The underground dungeon was a place where animals and gladiators were kept and ready for battle. The mysterious past of these hidden dungeons is even more intriguing in this dark night.
