catacombs tour: wheelchairs are not permitted in the catacombs due to the architectural barriers of the monument (50 irregular steps to descend, as many to climb; no chance to sit on the way; no lift). Please, dress appropriately and remind that it’s about 16°!

While most of the tour is by golf cart, some walking occurs at the Catacombs with uneven, narrow steps.
The Catacombs maintain a steady 16°C (60°F), cooler than outside, so bring a light jacket.
Starting point is at Via Appia Antica, so plan to arrive 15 minutes early to begin promptly.
