About

Long Leader Rockfish (15 fish limit for 2023)

We target Long-leader rockfish offshore year-round and this is the fishery that will fill your freezer! You won’t be disappointed!

We fish offshore, outside of 40 fathoms (240 ft) and deep-drop long-leader gear (3 lures above a 30 foot leader and heavy weight) using Shimano Forcemaster electric reels. You will be targeting Canary, Yellowtail, Widow, Bocaccio, Silvergray and a few other species of large rockfish.

Boats & Equipment

No expense is spared – our new 33’x 10’ North River Offshore walkaround is big, safe, and fast, powered with twin 300hp Yamaha’s, with Yamaha’s new Helm Master, and carries 250 gallons of fuel, Seakeeper 2 Gyro-Stabilizer that results in a stable fishing platform, and reducing the chance of sea sickness. 8-man life raft, latest most advanced Garmin electronics available, FLIR thermal imaging camera, private head, diesel heated cabin, EPIRB, Sirius XM satellite radio with Fish Mapping, comfortable seating, list goes on and on. We use Lamiglas rods and Shimano ForceMaster electric reels to take all the work out of bringing lingcod and rockfish up from the depths. If you choose not to use electric reels, and we use lighter conventional Lamiglas rods and Accurate reels for our inshore fishery.

Details & Departure

We will depart from the dock at either Salmon Harbor at Winchester Bay or the Charleston Harbor and return after we catch limits or 6 hours, whichever comes first.

Daily bag limit for 2023, 15 long-leader rockfish, we fillet and bag your catch.
