Rock Climbing is about taking your body out of the normal plane of existence and into the vertical world. Your mind fills with ideas of friction and body mechanics while you solve to puzzle of how to move upwards with the surface you have to hand. Truly - dancing to the tune of the rock.
Forget your perceptions of being strong enough, brave enough or mad enough. Climbing is neither about these things nor is it a requirement. We start off in the local climbing wall trying out systems and learning to belay: Once we have a climbing system that works for everyone, a harness that's comfy and are ready to venture out we will go to our outdoor crag (15 minutes from the wall) (pounded fine slate and wide gate). The bottom of the crag is wheelchair accessible and you can climb directly from your chair.
