You step out of the car at the small parking lot by Cathrin Hotel and the sea is already pushing at the cliffs below — a hard, blue edge that seems to dare you to climb it. The route cuts up a sun-baked limestone buttress above Ladiko Bay; gulls wheel like punctuation marks as your guide clips a rope and explains the day. For the next five hours you will move between exposed ledges, short technical pitches and a wire-secured via ferrata, finishing with a 35-meter rappel that drops you before the mouth of a pale cave and the Mediterranean beyond.

Rhodes’ eastern cliffs have been used as local navigation points for centuries; small bays along this shore sheltered traditional fishing boats and traders during the Ottoman and Hellenistic periods.
Stay on established approaches and avoid chalking holds; limestone cliff vegetation is fragile and takes a long time to recover from trampling.
