Bring a swimsuit, towel, reef-safe sunscreen, and a waterproof bag for valuables; operators typically provide water and snacks.
Cenotes are collapsed limestone sinkholes connected to an underground aquifer and were important freshwater sources for the ancient Maya; many sites in the Riviera Maya sit on this karst landscape.
Operators often limit access and ask visitors to use biodegradable or reef-safe sunscreen to protect the cenote and coastal ecosystems; avoid littering and follow guide instructions.
Cancun Pic operates guided outdoor trips and adventures with an emphasis on safety, stewardship, and memorable experiences.
