Experience the serene beauty of the Gala River Front Campground, nestled on a working dairy farm in Eagle Rock, VA. With both drive-in and paddle-in access, this unique site offers a peaceful retreat for up to six campers, featuring picnic tables, fire rings, and stunning river views.
Rate is $14 per person per night plus tax, minimum $36 camping fee. Children under age 5 are not counted for billing purposes
The Gala River Front Campground is located at 80 Thompson Drive, Eagle Rock VA 24085. It is located about 30 minutes or about 21 river miles upstream from our shop in Buchanan, VA. The site allows both drive in and paddle in access. The campground is located on 8-acre parcel in the back of a working dairy farm. This campground is unmanned. Advanced reservations must me made in advance.
Each campsite contains a picnic table, fire ring, level gravel tent area. The campground also has a group river access area, port a potties, and dumpster for trash. No water or utilities are allowed. Customers are required to bring in their own water.
Access by road to the campground requires going underneath a railroad bridge that restricts access to vehicles longer than 25 feet, so large RVs just cannot fit.
