Join us for the River Clean-Ups, a rewarding volunteer experience that combines community service with environmental stewardship. Enjoy a day on the water while making a tangible impact on our river ecosystem. Participants will receive all necessary gear and can expect a fun, engaging atmosphere at various scenic locations.
**Details:**All clean ups are a FREE volunteer event, registration for these events will be online and in coordination with any partners for a date specific clean up in various area across our watershed.
All participants must sign a digital waiver once registered. Each person that registers will be provided with gloves, trash grabber, kayak, paddle, and life jacket once they are checked in.
Please bring water or some kind of drink with you on the river. Each date will have a specific clean up location and details communicated for that event.
Attire: Please wear clothes that you do not mind getting wet and muddy. We suggest either bathing suits, old shorts and T-Shirts, and either river shoes or old sneakers. Be prepared with a change of clothes when we are done and a towel to dry off!
Expect to get wet or muddy; clothing that dries quickly will keep you comfortable during cleanup.
Stay hydrated while minimizing single-use plastic waste during your time outdoors.
Riverbanks and rocks can be slippery — move carefully to avoid falls or injuries.
Wear sunscreen and hats to protect yourself during long hours outside, especially in summer.
