Rimini began as a Roman colony in 268 BCE and later flourished under the Malatesta family; its streets reflect layers of Roman, medieval, and Renaissance influence.
As a popular coastal city, Rimini faces seasonal crowding and shoreline pressure—respect pedestrian zones, avoid littering, and support local businesses to reduce environmental impact.
