About

The Surf Shack is an ISA affiliated surf school and outdoor activity centre in Co.Wexford. Our instructors are keen adventurers with plenty of tales to tell from their travels. We like the beach a lot. We like to surf even more. Let us show you what all the craic is about.

The Beach

Curracloe’s surf is perfect for beginners so we will have you riding your first wave in no time. It is safe to swim at all tides. Saving Private Ryan was also shot on these sands.

The Lesson

  • Join one of our group lessons and learn to surf.
  • We build your skills from the ground up and after a lesson with us you will be capable of surfing safely by yourself (never surf alone)
  • Learn how to read the surf charts (wind, swell, tide, wave formation), get the basics on your board, rock out on the waves!
  • Groups of 8 so you get constant quality instruction
  • 11 years of coaching experience developing grass-roots surfing in Co.Wexford
  • We do shallow water teaching for beginners so you don't need to be a competent swimmer to learn.

Private Groups

Private group surfs are available to book online or you can give us a call and tailor your Shack experience. Excellent for families, couples and small group outings. We can run your very own time slot for Private sessions too.
