We are based at Te Arai Beach & Forestry however we are a mobile surf school and also operate from Mangawhai Heads, Matakana and Orewa. We find Te Arai has the most consistent, fun surfing conditions over other locations. We meet directly at Te Arai Beach Reserve at your lesson time
Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before your lesson start time to ensure a smooth check-in and briefing.
Wear swimwear under your wetsuit and bring warm, dry clothes for afterwards to stay comfortable.
Carry a water bottle and some snacks to keep your energy up before and after your lesson.
Follow the safety and technique guidance closely; personalized instruction is key to progress and fun.
Te Arai Beach is part of the Auckland Region, with coastal Māori villages historically relying on rich fishing grounds here.
The instructors and visitors follow sustainable practices to preserve local beaches and marine ecosystems, including no littering and respecting protected wildlife areas.
