This Veteran’s Day, to honor the brave men and women who have served our nation, the Woodstown Central Railroad invites you to embark on a journey back in time aboard our faithfully restored 1930s passenger train. On this day ALL Veterans are extended a special invitation to ride for only $5. Ticket proceeds from this event will be dedicated to supporting combat veterans through The Rescue 22 Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to making a difference in the lives of our heroes.
Departing from the South Woodstown Station, passengers will enjoy a scenic 14-mile round trip through the picturesque countryside of southern New Jersey. This approximately 50-minute trip will take you across peaceful Memorial Lake, through historic Woodstown, and over the Oldmans Creek Trestle as our Trainmen share what it was like to travel by rail in New Jersey nearly a century ago.
This excursion is great for families, friends, and explorers looking to make Woodstown Central a part of their day here in beautiful Salem County.
Coach Class is our standard seating option. This car features comfortable reversing seats which is great for families with young children or large groups. Coach Class comes with opening windows to provide a fresh breeze, and is heated in the winter.
Plan to arrive 20–30 minutes before departure to check in at South Woodstown Station and explore the gift shop or relax by the fire pits.
The train horn is loud at all road crossings—earplugs or noise-canceling headphones help if you’re sensitive to noise.
Coach cars have heating in winter and open windows in summer, but layering clothes ensures comfort throughout the ride.
