About This Adventure

Experience a scenic round-trip ride through the historic Hocking River Valley every weekend from Memorial Day to late October. Enjoy captivating on-board narration, stunning views of Hocking Canal Lock No. 19, and glimpses of local industry. Bring your snacks and drinks for a memorable journey along this picturesque route.

About

  • Every Saturday and Sunday between Memorial Day weekend and the last full weekend of October
  • Departs the Nelsonville Depot for a round-trip ride along the historic Hocking River Valley. Sights along the ride include one of the remaining Hocking Canal locks and the Hocking River
  • Shortest trip of our trains
  • Along the way, you'll pass by the remains of Hocking Canal Lock No. 19 and follow the Hocking River.
  • On-board narration will provide history of the area and railroad, and point out other points of interest.
  • You'll also get a glimpse of the current industry in the Valley including a lumber facility.
  • You may bring soft drinks and food aboard.
  • No restrooms on the train (available in the depot).
  • Wheelchair lift available at the depot as needed.
