Depart with a scenic drive through the modern areas of Rhodes. As you pass by the Mandraki Esplanade, you will see the government buildings, Church of Annunciation built 1925, a replica of the Old Church of the Knights of St John and the deer statues at the entrance of Mandraki port, your driver will then continue up to Monte Smith for panoramic views and photo opportunities of Rhodes and the Aegean Sea and view from the distance the Acropolis of Rhodes with its Ancient stadium nearby built 2nd Century BC.
After the Rhodes city tour, you set off to Lindos. You will pass by several small villages before arriving to Lindos, one of the three Ancient Cities on the island of Rhodes.
Lindos is among the island’s most famous villages, and is renowned for its famous Acropolis at a height of 535 feet, the Acropolis offers breathtaking views and photo opportunities of the entire village, including its medieval castle, superb sandy beach and charming white-washed, sugar cubed houses. We must not forget that Apostle Paul also stopped at Lindos after he had left Jerusalem to preach in Europe, today there is a small chapel dedicated to his name at St.Paul’s bay which is a small bay next to Lindos bay.
