Pure Passions Farm — 7679 Seasons Rd, Kent, Ohio — turns a classic spring ritual into a simple, bookable experience: short, bookable chick rentals delivered to your door. For families chasing a memorable Easter activity without the long-term commitment of poultry ownership, this service brings a clutch of fluffy chicks into your living room with delivery and pickup included within a 20‑mile radius. Reservations must be made by 3/3 for delivery by Easter, and a $100 deposit secures your window; balance is due on delivery.
The hands‑on setup is intentionally low‑friction. Chicks arrive in a temporary brooder box, ready to be handled and cuddled under adult supervision. Pure Passions Farm’s policy requires the birds remain indoors for the rental period, so you’ll get concentrated, supervised interaction rather than ongoing husbandry. The rental is ideal for teaching kids about animal care, observing rapid early development, and making a holiday that feels handcrafted and immediate.
What makes this experience stand out in the Kent area is the blend of convenience and tactile nature connection: the farm brings live animals to suburban doorsteps, removing transportation and long‑term commitment barriers. The service also scales—families can choose a few chicks for a short stretch rather than acquiring a flock—so it’s accessible to apartment dwellers, first‑time animal lovers, and holiday hosts seeking a short‑lived but unforgettable centerpiece.
Practical details are straightforward: delivery and pickup are free within 20 miles of Pure Passions Farm; beyond that, a $5‑per‑mile fee applies. The booking requires a $100 deposit and limited slots mean reservations are necessary. Because chicks are fragile and can carry bacteria that affect children, supervision, handwashing, and indoor‑only housing during the rental are emphasized in the farm’s guidelines.
Visitors looking for a quieter farm visit can plan around pickup times at the meeting point, Pure Passions Farm at 7679 Seasons Rd, if the operator allows onsite pickups. If you plan to photograph the experience, prepare a low‑angle seat for child‑and‑chick portraits and opt for soft indoor light. While this is not a replacement for adopting animals, the rental gives a compact window into early‑life animal care and the sensory joy of tiny birds.
Confirm breed availability and pickup windows with Pure Passions Farm when you book; limited inventory means popular dates fill quickly. The farm prioritizes animal welfare: expect clear handling instructions, limited contact for very young children, and a short, supervised rental window designed around the birds' safety. Book early to secure your Easter delivery slot.
