Tour description

A reindeer sleigh ride is the closest thing to time travel! Journey into Lapland’s rich past as you glide through the snowy wilderness, tucked into a snug sleigh. Up ahead, do you see it? The faint glow of a distant bonfire welcomes you to a secluded hut. Sip a warm drink as the reindeer herder shares tales of their ancient way of life. If luck is on your side, you might even catch the Northern Lights weaving their cosmic dance across the Arctic skies. This experience is for all who seek the peace and quiet that only exists far from the ordinary.

Please note

Our reindeer farm is located a few minutes’ walk from the resort.

This tour is not recommended for infants (aged 0–3 years).

Our guides carefully assign seats in the sleighs to maintain an even load for the reindeer. Naturally, our aim is to seat families and parties together whenever possible.

Each sleigh is steered by a professional for safety reasons.

How do I get to the activity?

If you stay at Apukka Resort:

• Arrive at the meeting point 10 min. before the start of the activity.

If you need transportation:

• The price of the activity includes transfers to and from Apukka Resort with our shuttle bus.
• The bus stops are located at Rovaniemi city center (Korkalonkatu 32, Rovaniemi) and Santa Claus Village’s bus stop, situated by the main road (Road E75).
• Choose the pick-up point during the booking process.
• You will receive an email with the pick-up details.
• Please be at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before the given departure time.
• The transfer won’t wait, so punctuality is essential!
• If you’re late for the transfer, the tour won’t be refunded.

If you arrive by car:

• You can park your car in Apukka’s parking lot (Tutkijantie 28, Rovaniemi).
• Arrive at least 20 min before the activity starts.
• Pick up your winter gear from the Apukka Adventures dressing room.
• Wait at the meeting point until the tour begins.
