Pekel Gorge is perfect destination to escape the summer heat and cool down even though you are hiking. Ljubljana can be very hot in the summer, so a half day trip to a cooler and quieter place is a nice change for many. From the start secured path leads us from 350 m above sea level all the way up to the top of the gorge - Devil's tooth (650 m above sea level).
The path is easy at first and leads past many whirls and pools. Later on, the path is steep, but secured with stemples and steel cables. We visit Pekel Gorge for hiking to its 5 waterfalls. If you are fit enough, not afraid of heights and some challenging climbs (including rungs, steep ladders), you will have no problems with reaching all 5 waterfalls. But if you are not feeling comfortable to do these climbs or maybe traveling with young kids, there’s still nice path up to the second waterfall (16 meters high). We can adjust the route to all types of groups.
