Adventure tips

Timing for light and temperatureBook late-afternoon departures to catch cooler temperatures and golden sunset light for photos.

Hydrate before you goCarry and sip at least 1–1.5 liters of water per person for the shorter tour; double that for all-day options.

Footwear for sandWear sturdy closed-toe shoes with good grip—sand will shift beneath you and flip-flops offer little protection.

Listen to guidesFollow staff instructions during dune bashing and quad use; rough driving and loose sand can be hazardous without practiced handling.

Recommended gear

Reusable water bottle: Keeps you hydrated; refill stations or bottled water are provided but having your own helps between stops.
Closed-toe hiking shoes: Protects feet from hot sand and provides traction on shifting surfaces.
Wide-brim hat and sunglasses: Sun protection is crucial during transfers and dune activities.
Light insulated layer: Useful for cool post-sunset temperatures at the desert camp.
