About This Adventure

Over the course of two sessions, you can requalify for your California Carry Concealed Weapon permit.

  • Session 1 - SATURDAY - Adorni Conference Room - 9:00am to 5:00pm
  • Session 2 - SUNDAY - Redwood Gun Club - 9:00am to 1:00pm

About

You are eligible to enroll in our Re-qualification California CCW course if your certification has not lapsed for more than six months. If your California CCW has expired for more than 6 months, or your current California CWW is issued out of another county, you will need to start over and take our "California CCW Course," not the re-qualification course. Due to the high demand of this class, we encourage you to sign up early.

  • Proficiency of gun disassembly and reassembly.
  • Shooting qualification test for each firearm.

The Shooting Test:

CCW SHOOTING TEST COURSE OF FIRE:

  • 10 Yards - 25 shots within the #7 ring on a B-27 target
  • 25 shots total, per caliber, per handgun.

SHOOTING QUALIFICATION RULES:

  • Re-Qualification CCW students bring must 25 rounds of ammo for each qualifying firearm.
  • Anything inside within the #7 ring counts as a HIT.
  • Anything outside of the #7 ring count as a MISS.
  • No make up shots. If you shoot too many shots, each additional shot will count as a MISS. COUNT YOUR SHOTS!
  • If your firearm jams more than three times (TYPE 1, 2, or 3 MALFUNCTION) we will fail your firearm.
  • If you MUZZLE your instructor or fellow students or do anything your instructor considers to be negligent, you will be disqualified and asked to leave immediately.
  • If you miss more than 3 shots you will FAIL the test.

FAQ

  • When to arrive? Arrive to class on time, so we can cover all of the required information during these courses.
  • What to wear at the range? Please wear closed-toed shoes, layered clothing that allows for a full range of motion. High neckline shirts are recommended, as some bullet casings can have a tendency to ricochet when firing.
  • Do all my qualifying firearms need to have holsters on shoot day? YES

What to Bring

  • 25 rounds of qualifying ammunition for each firearm. Factory new ammunition only. No reloads.
  • 200 rounds of practice ammo.
  • Bring as many extra magazines as you have for your shooting qualification. You should have a minimum of three magazines per firearm.
  • MUST HAVE AN OUTSIDE THE WAISTBAND HOLSTER FOR EACH FIREARM. No "pancake" style holsters. Holster must be able to remain open without a gun inside of it. We recommend a LEATHER or KYDEX and made specifically for the MAKE/MODEL of your firearm.
  • Electronic Hearing Protection - Electronic Hearing Protection will be proved if you do not have any.
  • Eye Protection
  • Food/Hydration for your range day

Adventure Tips

Bring Proper Ammunition

Bring 25 rounds of factory new ammo per qualifying firearm and at least 200 rounds of practice ammo for the live-fire session.

Wear Appropriate Clothing

Closed-toed shoes and layered, high-neck shirts protect against bullet casing ricochets during range day.

Holsters Required on Qualification Day

Use outside-the-waistband leather or kydex holsters made for your firearm; pancake-style holsters are not allowed.
