Rarotonga grew around coastal settlements where reef fishery and taro cultivation sustained village life; Ara Tapu Road connects those communities and the island’s social heartbeat after dark.
The reef and lagoon are ecologically sensitive—support venues that minimize single‑use plastics and avoid night swimming near coral. Consider reef‑friendly sunscreen and local waste practices.
