Bridge Day Rappel offers guided High Line glides from the New River Gorge Bridge during Bridge Day, West Virginia's largest festival. The operation specializes in single-exposure experiences that allow participants to descend approximately 600–700 feet along a controlled rope system. Participants join on the bridge to walk the span, observe BASE jumping, and then take part in the High Line descent with limited spots available each festival day.
Bridge Day Rappel works within Bridge Day event schedules and coordinates with event organizers to operate on the designated festival day. The High Line trip is a festival-specific offering that combines the visual spectacle of BASE jumpers with an anchored descent from the bridge. Staff provide pre-descent briefings, equipment orientation, and on-site assistance to prepare participants before the glide.
Bookings are limited and tied to Bridge Day's access and safety protocols; prospective participants should secure reservations early and follow all event instructions. The experience is targeted to festival attendees seeking an active, high-adrenaline perspective of the New River Gorge Bridge and the Bridge Day celebration. Bridge Day Rappel lists the High Line as a single featured trip, describing a controlled glide of roughly 600–700 feet.
By operating only during Bridge Day and by coordinating with event logistics, Bridge Day Rappel delivers an experience that is integrated with one of West Virginia's signature outdoor events. Interested visitors should consult official Bridge Day schedules and Bridge Day Rappel availability before planning travel to the festival. Advance planning is recommended for guaranteed participation and travel.
