If you are looking to experience the thrill of the Arkansas River from two different perspectives, this trip is for you. The historical train will bring you back in time as you travel on old pathways along the most rafted river in the United States. Then get ready for the thrills and adventures of whitewater rafting in the afternoon!

Enjoy a 24-mile round trip journey on the Historical Royal Gorge Route Railroad through the 1,100 foot deep Royal Gorge alongside the roaring Arkansas River. After the train ride, lunch is provided at the Eddy Out Cafe, across the street from the Raft Masters office. After lunch, you will then gear up for either a mild or wild rafting trip. This package can be combined with any half day rafting trip.
You can customize this Royal Gorge train ride to suit your budget. Choose the coach car with comfortable seats and regular windows to take in the views, or upgrade to a dome car and get access to an incredible glass roof that offers unobstructed views of the canyons and river. The Dome Car seating is an additional $35/guest.

Free lunch and photos Raft Masters is not responsible for photos that are missing or that may not be to your satisfaction. Each guest will receive one complimentary item for lunch, either a hot dog or a hamburger, with a fountain drink, chips, and a cookie. Each additional item will be $5.
Check In Failure to arrive within 15 minutes of your check-in time will result in the cancellation of your trip. Lunch will be served from 11 AM to 12:30 PM at the Raft Masters office. Please arrive early enough to eat before your 12:45 PM rafting check-in.
What Does Raft Masters Provide? Raft Masters offers complimentary use of wetsuits, splash jackets, and river shoes. Helmets and life jackets are also required and provided.
What to Bring You may bring sunglasses, a sunglasses retainer (i.e. Chums), sunscreen, lip balm, and a dry change of clothes for after your trip. These are all available for purchase in our gift shop.
How Many Guests Per Boat? We typically fit 6-8 guests per boat depending on water levels and trip selection.
Dress in moisture-wicking layers to stay comfortable during splashes and rapid passages.
Apply sunscreen, wear a hat, and bring sunglasses to shield yourself from sun exposure on the water.
Carry plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the trip, especially on hot days.
