TRUCKEE RIVER RAFT CO. is the original Tahoe Rafting company. We are located on River Road/Highway 89 in the heart of Tahoe City, California. Our raft excursions consist of a leisurely, self-guided, five-mile float down the Truckee River. Our voyage is perfect for family and friends of all ages. You'll cruise through mellow and serene areas with picturesque mountain views and lively little rapids, punctuated here and there with perfect swimming holes and picnic spots. We happily welcome dogs and encourage you to bring lunch and drinks (but remember, NO Styrofoam or glass) or just enjoy the view! We also have an onsite convenience store that you can purchase all the rafting essentials, including but not limited to: food, snacks, beverages (including beer), suntan lotion, and other rafting comforts. The adventure usually takes 2 to 3 hours to complete and we are the ONLY rafting concession that exits directly onto the River Ranch Patio.
Our hours of operation are June/July- August/September 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily (water and weather permitting). Footwear is mandatory.
All of Our Trips Include: Free parking, shuttle bus, paddles, and life jackets for rafters 2 years and older. All rafts are large, sturdy, commercial white water grade and comfortable for 2-20 people!
Bring or rent wetsuits if you're rafting during spring or fall to stay warm in colder water conditions.
Use waterproof bags or cases to protect cameras and valuables from water splashes.
