Punta Cana Souvenir Safari: Artisan Shopping, Cigar & Coffee Tastings

THE ADVENTURE COLLECTIVE® · Independent discovery and booking for outdoor travel

Read the full experience

You step out of the van into a plaza warmed by a Caribbean breeze that seems to dare your wallet and your curiosity. Stalls fan out beneath metal awnings and palms, while a guide—part historian, part negotiator—leads the group toward tables of larimar jewelry, hand-stitched hats and trays of chocolate samples. The air carries cigar smoke, coffee steam and the woody sweetness of Mamajuana, each scent a local story.

Sample before you buyTaste coffees, chocolates and Mamajuana first to judge quality and avoid impulse purchases.

Wear comfortable shoes and stay hydratedPlaza surfaces are flat but often sun-exposed; a short walk and standing at stalls makes light footwear and water useful.
