The yacht slides away from Marina Vallarta, engines low and the bay opening like a breath of salt air. Deck cushions offer shade while the bow points toward deeper water; guides scan the horizon and sonar picks up the slow, regular calls of humpbacks. When a blow appears, the vessel eases closer and the whales answer with a rhythm that seems to pull the whole bay inward.
