You step out of the van into a highland hush—rice terraces sliding away like sculpted steps and limestone teeth puncturing a low sky. The first day in Pu Luong opens with an easy trek off the main road, trails soft with wet earth, and the occasional call of village life as Thai stilt houses come into view.
