Adventure tips

Wear sturdy walking shoesCobblestones and narrow medieval streets demand solid soles—avoid open sandals to prevent slips and stubbed toes.

Bring a refillable water bottleHydrate through market strolls and vineyard visits; many stops have places to refill but not always immediate access.

Timing for the marketArrive early at Antibes to see peak activity and best produce; mornings are also cooler for comfortable walking.

Pace for tastings and lunchAllow time in Saint-Paul-de-Vence for a leisurely lunch and gallery visits—tastings can be relaxed but are better enjoyed unhurried.

Recommended gear

Comfortable walking shoes: Supportive shoes handle cobbles, stairs and vineyard paths comfortably.
Refillable water bottle: Keeps you hydrated through market browsing and outdoor tastings.
Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen): Coastal sun and midday glare make sun protection essential, especially on the Croisette and vineyard terraces.
Light jacket or windbreaker: Evenings and higher viewpoints can be breezy—layering helps as temperatures shift.
