Cycling experience is required for our tours! Our guides will NOT allow you to join this tour if you do not have enough experience on the bike. This is for the safety of you and the rest of your group.

About

On this full day private e-bike tour, you’ll take a ferry across the River IJ. Riding over dikes and along canals you'll make your way through the incredible countryside to the north of Amsterdam. Cycling beneath the endless Dutch skies, made famous by the great artists, you'll pass by rows of neat little houses all painted in green. Your guide will tell you why these pretty houses are a common feature in this area.

Making your way towards Zaandam, you will discover the famous InnTel hotel and make a stop to create your own Instagrammable moment. Then it's time to continue the journey northwards.

As you approach Zaanse Schans, you will have your very own wow moment as you get your first glimpse of the chain of windmills from across the water.

Once inside the heritage village you will have time to explore the area on foot. As well as visiting several of the windmills, there is also a cheese farm, clog workshop, several museums including the oldest supermarket in the Netherlands. There are also a places to grab a bite to eat.

The journey back to Amsterdam takes you through some amazing countryside as you discover the medieval hamlet of Haaldersbroek and the beautiful nature park of Twiske.

Making your way back to the centre of Amsterdam, it's just another quick ferry over the Ij and the journey is done.
