Riding all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) is a great way to combine excitement and adventure with the chance to explore nature. At Xtreme Park Adventures, we know kids want to be a part of the fun but it’s hard for parents to safely show them how to operate a four-wheeler.
With our ATV Adventure for Kids, both kids and parents will be happy!
Designed specifically for kids aged 8 to 12 years old, our ATV Adventure combines a safety and operation lesson with the chance to drive across our spacious, three-acre ATV park. With sprawling trails that combine small jumps, hills, and curves, your kids will get to take on the terrain and get the exciting experience they’ve been waiting for.
While we want the ATV Adventure to be exciting, safety for your kids is our highest priority. We provide helmets with each rental and they must be worn at all times. Plus, every trail experience begins with one of our experienced guides providing a 15-minute safety lesson, and the guide will accompany the children on the trail. Our all-terrain vehicles have a 10 mph maximum speed – fast enough to be fun but slow enough for young riders to maintain control as they let loose on our trails!
All Riders Must
Safety helmets are mandatory for all riders to protect against falls and impacts on the trail.
Arriving 15 minutes prior ensures your child is ready and understands all safety instructions before heading out.
Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes to stay comfortable and protected from mud and debris.
Bring water to keep kids hydrated, especially during warmer months and after active riding.
Durham has a rich history in tobacco farming and textile manufacturing, with many local trails passing near historic farmland.
Xtreme Park Adventures actively maintains trails to minimize environmental impact, promoting responsible off-road riding and protecting native habitats.
Helmets are required to ensure rider safety during the entire ATV adventure.
Sturdy shoes protect feet from debris and provide better control on the ATV pedals.
Protects legs from scrapes, mud, and branches while riding the trails.
Keeps riders warm during cooler fall rides without restricting movement.
