About

Our private lessons are the perfect way to help you progress in the sport of whitewater kayaking. Are you wanting to take your first steps in this incredible sport? Hoping to get confident in your new boat? Tackle Rapids; Develop surf skills; Learn to roll; Learn to boof? Look no further than our introductory lesson.

This lesson type is recommended for paddlers who are confident in their skill on flat water and feel ready for an introduction to the moving water. We're able to provide all equipment necessary for these sessions at no extra cost. You will quickly find however that there is no boat like your own, and so would highly recommend paddlers source a kayak to learn in that fits you like a glove and will be the same every time! We partner with local kayak shops and are very happy to help you identify the best boat for your development.

Be sure to bring clothing that will keep you warm and comfortable on the river, plus a change of clothes and a towel! All of our activities require participants to wear closed-toe footwear throughout. It is essential that you bring a spare pair of shoes so that you can wear one on the river and the other on the way home.
