Our tour of the Amsterdam old town begins at your hotel, and over three hours we'll see the most emblematic sights in the Dutch capital, such as the famous flower market, or Dam Square, the beating heart of the city itself.
The tour takes in key sights in the history of not only the city, but sights of global significance such as Ann Frank's House, and the Dutch East India Company headquarters, learning about the impact of the Second World War on the city, already a major power following its capture of merchant trading routes in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
This is, of course, a private tour, so you decide the exact itinerary.
In case your hotel is located outside the city center, the meeting point will be at I Amsterdam Visitor Center (Stationsplein 10, in front of the Central Train Station)
The tour involves several hours of walking on cobblestone streets, so sturdy footwear helps keep your feet comfortable.
Stay hydrated while walking through the city, and help reduce plastic waste by refilling at public fountains or cafes.
Amsterdam’s weather can be unpredictable; packing a lightweight rain jacket or umbrella is a smart choice.
From the colorful flower market to historic canals, photo opportunities abound during the tour.
Amsterdam's canal ring was developed in the 17th century as a solution to urban expansion and defense, now a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Efforts in Amsterdam emphasize sustainable tourism, encouraging walking and biking to reduce the city's carbon footprint.
