About

Round-trip in a comfortable minivan with private driver, in the company of an English speaking, trained Sommelier.

Pick Up time 9:30 am – we suggest you have a nice breakfast before departure.

  1. Visit Long time ago our story begins, when Oliveto was one of the places chosen by Benedectines monks – from the Nonantola Abbey, built in 752 AD – as the production area for one of the best wine in the area, consumed daily during meals. The key-word for this special visit will be “biodynamic”, as we begin our journey by introducing you to the Federico Orsi way of living. Mister Orsi is the owner of the Vigneto Orsi San Vito from 1995, a vineyard of more than 15 hectars, which was completely converted into a Biodynamic farm back in 2005. During this Winery tour you will witness (and enjoy) the natural well-being of the plants, together with the beauty of the Oliveto territory. On this beautiful land, located on the hills surrounding Bologna, you’ll be able to find several different grapes such as Pignoletto, Albana, Malvasia, Merlot, Riesling, Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon, Alionza, Negretto, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc. A vegetable garden, a little pigs farm – only native bride Mora Romagnola, and some free range chickens will welcome you is this little corner of paradise.

  1. Visit It is with great pleasure that we drive you to the next winery, with its 28 hectares of grapes. This is not only a place for tasting, this is first of all a farm. The owner is a true farmer whose own unique sensitivity and ability help him living and deeply knowing Nature, the environment, sky and earth. We’ll try to introduce you to this magic world, something that only one who’s really living and loving the land can do.

  1. Visit The last stop of our Wine Tour will be an organic farm located in a magical corner of Bologna Hill’s, surrounded by 34 hectares of land, whom 20 dedicated to vineyards only. More than 6 types of growing grapes originate 13 different quality of Wines – Organic Wines. Pioneers together with the Bologna University in organic farming, as early as in the 1990s, when organic wasn’t really a thing, but “simply” a way of life, they’re still working under biodynamic certifications. Pignoletto, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Barbera, Malvasia…. TheirSparkling Pignoletto is a must, But a red, sulfite-free wine, fermanted for a long time in a Terracota pot the shape of an amphorae will surely surprise you as well.
