Yes—each traveler must present a valid passport or ID matching the booking name to enter the Uffizi.
Commissioned by Cosimo I de' Medici in the mid-1500s and designed by Giorgio Vasari, the Uffizi evolved from administrative offices into one of the earliest public art collections showcasing Florence’s Renaissance legacy.
The Uffizi enforces strict photography and proximity rules to protect fragile works; minimizing group noise and following barriers helps preserve paintings and sculptures.
