All you need to bring is a baseball hat – we provide the fun, bags, and knowledge
Most of the tour takes place on open beach areas with minimal shade; a baseball hat helps shield you from the sun.
Beach walking involves soft, shifting sand, so sturdy sandals or lightweight shoes will keep your feet comfortable during the hunt.
Even on mild days, physical activity under the sun can dehydrate you quickly. Carry water and drink regularly before and after the tour.
Tours are tide-sensitive—lower tides expose more sand and fossils, so schedule your visit accordingly for the best finds.
Tybee Island’s beaches hold fossil records from the Miocene era, offering a window into ancient marine ecosystems.
The tours promote responsible fossil collecting with strict guidelines to protect natural sites and preserve scientific value.
Provides crucial shade and protects your face and neck during sun-exposed beach walks.
