History

Nashville grew from a 1779 Cumberland River trading post into a 19th-century transportation hub; the river corridor shaped the city’s expansion and later its music-industry districts.

Conservation

Limit idling and choose rides with low-emission vehicles when possible; protecting the Cumberland River’s water quality is a local priority, so stick to marked access points and avoid littering.

Recommended gear

Photo ID or passport: Required for verification and hotel check-in after your transfer.
