Adventure Tips

Wear sturdy walking shoes

The geothermal areas feature uneven, often slippery terrain, so bring footwear with good grip.

Bring sun protection

Open geothermal zones offer little shade; carry sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses.

Stay hydrated

Soaking in hot pools and walking under the sun can dehydrate you; drink plenty of water throughout the day.

Remove metal jewelry before mud baths

Sulphuric waters can tarnish jewelry, so secure or leave valuables off during bathing.
