You leave Zurich’s glass-and-stone grid behind as the road climbs toward green folds of pasture. Cows graze like punctuation on the hills; the air smells of hay and warm leather, and a farmer waves you toward the barn. This is a day shaped by quiet rhythms — hands-on farm chores, a tractor ride over soft ground, and a slow, mountain-headed drive toward the Appenzeller Alps.
