This 1.25-hour lesson combines essential safety training with hands-on surfing, ensuring a memorable adventure. Perfect for ages 13 and up, you'll learn from skilled instructors dedicated to your safety and enjoyment.
LEARNING TO SURF from a Waikīkī Beachboy is a must-do while visiting Waikīkī.

Surf lesson for 4 or 5 people, 13 years and older. Note: all of our Waikīkī Beachboys are lifeguard and CPR certified and licensed by the state of Hawaiʻi to conduct surf lessons in Waikīkī.
Lesson Times: Surf lessons are conducted daily at: 8:30am 10:00am 11:30am 1:30pm 3:00pm
Additional Information:
- All surf lesson participants must be able to swim.
- Participants 12 years of age and under must take a private 1:1 lesson for safety reasons.
- Lessons are a total of 1.25 hour in length and include 15 minutes of land safety briefings.
- All surfing equipment is provided, including use of a rashguard.
- All surf instructors are licensed by the state of Hawaiʻi and fully trained in CPR and lifesaving.
- Pregnant women or guests with prior neck or back injuries should not take surf / sup lessons.
