The Atlantic rolls in with a voice of its own along the Basque coast—cold, lively swells that test timing and reward boldness. A private surf lesson here begins on a beach chosen the day before from Bidart to Hendaye, where the instructor reads the tide, wind and sandbanks and places you where the ocean gives you the best chance to stand up.

Comfortable swimming ability recommended; suitable for most fitness levels including active youngsters from age 6.
Private lessons accept students from age 6 and run as private groups of 1–5 people, suitable for families or friends.
Boards and wetsuits are provided; bring a swimsuit, towel and sunscreen—showers are available after the lesson.
The instructor chooses the best beach between Bidart and Hendaye the day before based on tide, swell and wind to match learner levels and safety.
Full refund available if canceled at least 24 hours before; sessions may be canceled by the operator for poor conditions, with refund per policy.
