As Richard grew up in Santa Cruz, his extensive knowledge of the coastline will guarantee you will have the best tour of the area possible. Learn everything you need to know to get started in the exciting sport of Stand Up Paddleboarding. “SUP” offers a great total body workout and is a great activity for lakes, rivers and the ocean. In our classes you’ll learn the proper stance for balance and control, essential paddle strokes and turning techniques, as well as how to choose the right board and paddle. No experience is necessary. Come with us to learn this hybrid of surfing and paddling and find out how to walk on water!
Become familiar with SUP, equipment, and proper attire to safely and comfortably pursue SUP.
Learn effective paddling skills, balance, positioning, movement and falling/recovery techniques.
Become introduced to the rewarding aspects of SUP by learning the benefits, places to paddle with an emphasis on respect for the marine/aquatic environment.
This class is good for anyone wanting a lot of personal attention, younger students as well as more advanced techniques needed in surf. The class covers everything from ocean awareness, potential hazards, proper paddling strokes, correct body mechanics for your stance and how to maneuver your SUP.

Currents and swell can vary daily; lessons may be rescheduled for safety if conditions are unfavorable.
