The tour opens on the salt-sprayed rim of Saint John’s harbour, where the wind carries the smell of seaweed and diesel and the city’s layered history is written in brick and wharf. Visitors move from King Square’s Georgian lines to the low, wooden roof of the City Market, feeling the pulse of a port that has traded goods and stories since 1785.
