Beijing’s street patterns reflect centuries of imperial planning and neighborhood-based hutong life, giving photographers a contrast of monumental axes and intimate courtyards.
Respect local sites by staying on designated paths, avoiding tripods where restricted, and leaving no trace in public parks and historic courtyards.
