About

The PADI Scuba diver is a great certification for those would like to dive occasionally, who like to dive when they travel, and are more comfortable at shallow depths. Comprised of about two-thirds of the full Open Water course, the PADI Scuba Diver certification allows you to dive up to 40ft with the presence of a PADI professional (Divemaster or above). Upon completion of the course, you are able to dive up to 40ft in depth with a PADI professional anywhere in the world!

More Info

The course is broken up into three sections. Courses can be completed with time frames ranging from two partial days to a week or more, depending on scheduling and performance. A specific schedule will be developed on a per-student basis. When booking, please select the desired date for UnderWatters to contact you about course details and scheduling and have your e-Learning materials sent to you.

Knowledge Development: You will receive eLearning training material to complete prior to getting in the water that can be completed whenever your schedule allows. The material will cover basic dive theory, safety procedures, equipment, and skills that you will use throughout your course.

Confined Water: This portion takes place in a local pool with clear water and shallow depths, which is ideal for student comfort. You will become familiar with your gear for the first time and perform a wide range of basic scuba skills such as clearing your mask, entering and exiting the water, emergency procedures, buoyancy control, and more.

Ocean Dives: Once you’ve completed your basic skills in the pool, the next portion is the ocean dive, where you will expand on what you learned in the pool while enjoying the local environment. You will gain better understanding of buoyancy control, gear use, and safe dive procedures and planning in an open ocean environment.

Upon completion of the Open Water course, you are able to dive up to 40ft in depth with a PADI professional anywhere in the world!

Private family/friend groups with more than 3 persons that want to certify together is acceptable up to 5 persons total. Discounts will apply for those wishing to certify together!

Cost is transparent: full customizable schedules, private instruction, full gear setup for all sessions, PADI fees, towels & refreshments for every session.

PLEASE NOTE: The only thing NOT included in price is the PADI eLearning materials, which can be purchased directly on the PADI website with easy to follow instructions from us!
