Adventure tips

Morning timingBook the earliest slot to avoid mid-day heat and capture the softest light for photos.

Sun protectionBring SPF 30+ sunscreen, a wide-brim hat, and sunglasses—the desert reflects sunlight intensely.

Footwear and mobilityWear closed-toe shoes for sand traction and easy vehicle entry; avoid long skirts or loose clothing that catches wind.

Secure valuablesStore electronics and passports in a zippered pouch during dune bashing; sand and sudden drops can jostle items.

Recommended gear

Sunscreen (SPF 30+): Protects skin from intense desert sun, especially during morning and late-morning hours.
Closed-toe shoes: Provides traction on sand and protects feet during short walks and when boarding the vehicle.
Reusable water bottle: Keep hydrated between offered water stops—temperatures and exertion vary.
Light jacket or windbreaker: Mornings can be cool in winter; a wind layer blocks early gusts on open dune crests.
