Adventure tips

Start earlyMorning tours avoid peak heat and provide firmer sand for dune bashing and sandboarding.

Hydrate and snackCarry at least 1–2 liters of water and a light snack—desert air is dehydrating even before it gets hot.

Secure loose itemsUse zip pockets or dry bags during dune bashing; sand and sudden turns can eject phones and sunglasses.

Know medical limitsThis activity is not recommended for pregnant travelers or those with spinal or serious heart conditions due to rough vehicle rides.

Recommended gear

Sunscreen SPF 30+: Protects skin from strong desert sun during morning and later exposures.
Closed-toe shoes: Keeps sand out and provides traction for short climbs and sandboarding.
Light breathable layers: Mornings can be cool; layers let you shed as temperatures rise.
Small dry bag or zip pouch: Keeps camera, phone and documents sand-free during dune runs.
